Nikki Farquharson

I'm so inspired by this work! I've seen this a couple of times on some design blogs but I never visited her site! I love her style of collaging, her use of hand draw illustration mixed with photography. The bright colors mixed with black and white. Its nice that you can see the actually pen marks in her illustrations giving it a wonderful hand done touch.

I stumbled upon these images just now online! They are amazing!!!! I had the opportunity to go to Carnaval In Salvador da Bahia once a few years back and it was definitely an experience everyone should have once in their life. I would love to go to carnival in Rio or Trinidad some day.

I love Samba and used to perform samba and afro brazilian a couple of years back and kinda fell out of it! These pictures inspire me to want to be part of that culture again.

Erykah Badu - Window Seat

1st single from the upcoming album New Amerykah Part 2!!!! I love Erykah and would love to see her again. The last time I saw her believe it or not was in 1997. Damn long time ago. I got caught once trying to sneak into one of her shows on a rainy night jumping over a fence and sliding down a muddy hill! hahahahah good times.

fly free!!! scribbles and tunes!

A doodle I did for a co-worker who is leaving. Originally doodled on a napkin in a meeting. I scanned it in and colored it in in photoshop. Everytime I read the "fly free" I think of Erykah Badu - Honey and sing the lyrics "fly free baby fine with me, I'm in love with a bumble bee".
